Trouble Shooting Guide

If you're having problems downloading or using our Guitar Tuner or Bass Guitar Tuner, try these troubleshooting steps. These instructions are written for Windows XP, but should apply to Vista too.

The first step in troubleshooting any Windows software problem is to reboot your computer (turn it off and back on). This ensures that you're working with a "clean slate" and don't have a lot of programs running, Etc.

After that, make sure you have the latest version of Macromedia Flash. It's a free program that's used to open and utilize our tuners and chord chart. A current version of Flash will usually solve most difficulties using our tuners or chord chart.

If you're still having problems using our tuners or chord chart, try downloading them directly to your computer (as opposed to using them from our web site). To do so, right-click on one of the links below and then click Save Target As. A box will then open asking you if you want to Run the file from its current location, or Save to disk. Choose Save to Disk. Now, save the file to a location you can easily remember, such as your Desktop or My Documents folder.
Once the download completes, go to the place you saved the file, and double-click on it. Then, simply double-click the file you want to open.
